How does JOYN perform authentications/SSO?

JOYN supports OAuth 2.0

JOYN uses AWS Cognito to interact with all 3rd party identity providers including
- Office 365 by Microsoft
  - JOYN is already configured to work with O365
  - More info on O365 below
- Any other OAuth 2.0 compatible IDP

Additional Info on O365

Office 365 supports both issue specific configuration as well as common organization configuration for Oauth2. We use the later to support multiple tenants on our platform. This helps us to federate authentication via the MS AD common endpoint(s) without requiring any additional configuration on our platform.
