Multi System Master Data Integration Considerations

Note that if you are integrating Master Data from multiple systems to JOYN, we need to ensure you have a consistent primary key across all of your internal systems so that JOYN is able to clearly identify a similar asset from any system.

For example, in the scenario below - there are 3 systems that an asset can have updates or transactions from. The Asset Name and the System ID is not consistent in each system but the Cost Center is. Therefore the Cost Center is the primary key that will be used in JOYN.

The primary key will be mapped to a field in JOYN known as XID.
