What is a task type group?

A task type group is a group of task types. The intent of this grouping is to limit what teams or groups of teams can see so that they only see what might be relevant to them.

You can manage your task type groups in one of the system default picklists called “TaskTypeGroups”.

Picklist Management Screen Option:

For e.g. - you can make a Task Type group of Drilling & Completions Tasks which will include all D&C activity related task types.

Task Type Setup Screen option:

This task type group can be mapped to the team/teams that require this task - whether as a viewer, requestor or as an executor of the task.
