What steps do I need to follow, to avoid data loss when I "clear data" on OneApp??

Clearing data is not often required when you are using OneApp. The application ensures

  1. All Updates to transactions

  2. Majority of the updates to Masterdata and Metadata

flow into the application through update notifications and auto-sync process.

Even with above capabilities, sometimes the application data can get corrupted, or application data may becomes stale and not update, which could lead to undesired outcomes during data capture.

In such cases, follow the below steps before “clicking clear data”

  1. Ensure the user finishes the data entry on the objects, which they are currently entering data for

  2. Ensure the user is in “good internet connectivity area”.

  3. Ensure in the “routes” tab all the routes, for which the user has ever entered data for, are showing “ 0 unsynced records”.

    1. If there are any unsynced records due to “exceptions”, fix them and ensure those records are synced.

  4. Slide sync, all the routes which have been used once ( as a safety precaution to avoid any potential data loss).

  5. Once, the above steps are complete, proceed to “clear data”
