What is a Vendor and a Vendor User?

A vendor is an external 3rd party company whose employees work in JOYN for the JOYN client company using JOYN.

A vendor user is an employee of the external 3rd party company.

For e.g.

• Tom’s logistics is a vendor for Big Oil inc

  • Bill Davis is an employee of Tom’s logistics and is a vendor user

• Big Oil inc is the JOYN client company using JOYN

Vendors and Vendor users are setup in 2 places:

Vendor Users are setup on the User profile record in User mgmt
