Why am I unable to select a stop while creating a certain task type even though I'm in the area?

Sometimes you may try to create a certain task type and you may not be able to select a specific stop. This could be due to a couple of reasons:

Example 1:

• John Doe is assigned to the Lease Operator Team

• John Doe is mapped to Northeast Midland Area via the Lease Operator Team

• John Doe is trying to create a task for a Plunger Inspection Task Type

• The Plunger Inspection Team is the assigned team to perform the Plunger Inspection Task Type

• The task needs to be created on the Stop Tiger 15 which is in the Northeast Midland Area

• However, John Doe is not able to select the Tiger 15 stop because

  • the Plunger Inspection Team is not mapped to the Northeast Midland Area

  • therefore nobody can perform a plunger inspection

Example 2:

• John Doe is assigned to the Lease Operator Team

• John Doe is mapped to Northeast Midland Area via the Lease Operator Team

• John Doe is trying to create a task for a Plunger Inspection Task Type

• The Plunger Inspection Team is the assigned team to perform the Plunger Inspection Task Type

• The task needs to be created on the Stop Tiger 15

• Stop Tiger 15 is mapped to 2 separate areas:

  • Northeast Midland Area

  • Midland Central Area

• However, John Doe is not able to select the Tiger 15 stop because

  • Reason 1:

    • the Plunger Inspection Team is not mapped to the Northeast Midland Area

    • therefore nobody can perform a plunger inspection

    • Therefore John Doe cannot create a plunger inspection task on the Tiger 15 stop

  • Reason 2:

    • the Plunger Inspection Team is mapped to the Midland Central Area

    • But John Doe is not mapped to the Midland Central Area

    • Therefore, John Doe is unable to create a Plunger inspection task on the Tiger 15 stop
