How do I create a chart meter calculation using the AGA3 standards?

If a customer wants to setup a chart meter and use AGA 3 standards for calculations, the lease operator needs to configure the reading or the meter with the following attributes needed for the volume calculations:

  • Atm Pressure (Master data)

  • Base Pressure (Master data)

  • Base Temperature (Transaction data)

  • Pipe Diameter (Master data)

  • Orifice Diameter (could be setup as master data or transaction data - depends on customer)

  • N2 (Transaction data) - typically 0 , customers typically don’t record this

  • CO2 (Transaction data) - typically 0 , customers typically don’t record this

  • Specific Gravity (Transaction data)

  • Static Pressure (Transaction data)

  • Differential Pressure in H2O column (Transaction data)

  • Flow Temperature (Transaction data)

  • Flow Time (Transaction data)

On app side, calculations are updated when data is entered and uploaded to the backend. When users do a delta download, they will see the net volume.

The net volume attribute will need to be setup as forced calculated from the backend by an engineer for the specific reading on the specific tenant.

Format example:

AGA3Method2FlowRate([AtmPressure], [BasePressure] ,[GasMeter].[BaseTemperature] , [GasMeter].[PipeDiameter] , [GasMeter].[OrficeDiameter] , 0, 0, [GasMeter].[SpecificGravity] , [GasMeter].[StaticPressure] , [GasMeter].[DifferentialPressureinH2O] , [GasMeter].[FlowTemperature] , [GasMeter].[FlowTime] )
