What do the "Allocation Source doesn’t equal the sum of the Allocated Well Volumes" exceptions indicate?

When volumes allocated back to the wells do not sum up to be equal to those volumes contributed by the volume sources ( tanks, meters), then the following exceptions are created.

Exceptions

  • Insufficient inventory in tank ledgers to drawout sales from: When tanks show a run ticket of 100 bbl, but there is not enough starting inventory+ production into the tank, then all inventory in the tank is drawn out and sales is allocated to the wells by how much of the well’s inventory is drawn out from the tank (which could be 80bbls). This shows a mismatch between sum of sales disposition volumes allocated to the wells ( 80 bbls) versus sales volume from run tickets ( 100 bbls).

  • All the wells have 24 hour downtime but production volume sources have non-zero volumes : Production is shown on tanks/meters downstream but wells have 24 hour downtime on them: Volumes allocated back to the wells would 0, due to 24 hour downtime, but volumes registered on disposition points (meters and tanks) would be >0.

  • Well tests were not loaded for the tanks and allocations were run: When well tests are not loaded for the wells and allocations are run, 0 volumes get allocated to the wells but recorded volumes at disposition points( tanks, meters) would be non-zero.

  • Well head meter readings are not available or are 0, but volumes recorded downstream: Volumes allocated to the wells would be “0” but volumes recorded at disposition points would be non-zero.
