Can production accountants perform reconciliation at a different temperature/pressure base?

Yes, Joyn O&G now supports the capability to perform reconciliation at an account level configurable pressure/temperature base, which could be different from the pre-defined “14.696 degF”.

The product was built with the underlying assumption that pressure rebasing was a capability that lets you operate allocations and reconciliation at a standard pressure + temperature base. The advantages of this are:

  • All allocated volumes and purchaser sales are available at the standard temperature/pressure base.

    • Provisioned gasmeterpresbtu readings have a standardized volume calculation converting to 14.696 PSI/ 60F

    • Reconciliation has a configuration which is provisioned to work at the 14.696/60F

    • Allocation can be setup to use all gas volumes at standard temp pressure 14.696/60

  • It is recommended to reconcile volumes at the same pressure base for all the purchaser sale readings in the network.

  • You can always re-base allocated volumes and purchaser sales to their pressure/temperature of choice depending on which reports they produce.
